A slider phone presents a challenge as to the design of carrying cases which both allow easy access to the phone and still offer sufficient protection. Easy access for slider phones means being able to “open” the phone without having to “unpack” it from the case.
Easy and quick access becomes ever more important as Wifi- enabled phones will be used much more frequently to access web-based information, due to the virtually free access within the home environment.
The “Body Glove Fusion Cellsuit Case” case offers instant access while only protecting the keyboard and part of the screen. This case rather unusually even leaves an opening for the camera lens at the back as well as an opening for the dedicated camera button on the side allowing to take pictures without losing any time as if the phone was out of the case - not unimportant as instant picture taking is the key benefit of phone cameras.
The “Krusel” is a more traditional case offering full protection, but opening of the phone requires the rather cumbersome “unbuttoning” of the case. Uncovering the camera lens involves the unbuttoning of a second “flap” at the back.
In the end - despite the high price of the Nokia N80 - easy access becomes more important than protection and hence the “Body Glove Fusion Cellsuit Case” seems to be the best alternative.
